I love teaching as much as I love learning! I believe each of us has an enormous amount of wisdom and skills to share with one another to support growth and development. Even though I am a Social Worker, I recognize and value the work of all professionals, mental health, medical, teachers, etc., and have worked in various capacities with a diverse mix of professional roles.
I offer consultation services to those seeking guidance and support in strengthening teams, developing, and improving your practice, discussing challenging cases, and building awareness and skills to prevent fatigue and burnout.
With 30 years of experience, I bring knowledge and experience from my work in various mental health and healthcare settings. I have worked as a Social Work Case Manager in an 80-bed hospital to a 1000-bed hospital and understand the intricacies and challenges related to this. I have been a "first" Social Work role in an Inpatient Palliative Care Team, Outpatient Community Mental Health Clinic, and an Outpatient Oncology practice. I co-developed several community programs with Leadership Tomorrow and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Smoky Mountains. I have experience developing a new role from the ground up, mentoring and supporting others in a new role, developing programs and services for patients in outpatient and inpatient settings, and supporting and strengthening teams.
