If I'm not in-network with your plan, you may still have out-of-network benefits. Some insurance companies reimburse part or all of the cost after receiving a superbill. You'll pay upfront for session, and I'll provide you with the documentation needed to submit for reimbursement to your insurance plan.
Questions to ask your insurance provider:
- Does my plan include mental health or behavioral health benefits?
- Do I have out-of-network coverage?
- What is my deductible, and have I met it?
- What is my co-pay or cost share?
- Are there limits on sessions per year?
- Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?
- Do you accept superbills for reimbursement?
If you have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), sessions may be covered at no cost. Please verify if I'm a contracted provider with your EAP.
Payment
I accept all major credit/debit cards or HSA payments through Therapy Notes, a HIPAA-compliant platform. Payment is due after each session, unless billing insurance. We'll review your financial responsibility for sessions during the consultation.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments are reserved for you. Please provide 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations will incur a fee equal to the full session cost ($175), when private pay, or the total contracted rate per your insurance plan. Insurance does not cover this fee.
No Surprises Act (Consolidated Appropriations Act Of 2021)
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of services. Under this law, health care providers, including me, need to provide individuals who do not have insurance or who are not using their insurance for services with an estimate of expected charges for these services, including psychotherapy.
This estimate will be provided before your first session and updated as needed. For more details, visit Ending Surprise Medical Bills | CMS
